Rocking a Striped Romper in Bermuda
This past weekend Jack and I took a short trip to Bermuda and had an absolutely wonderful time there. The beautiful island and all its gorgeous scenery was the perfect antidote to the dreary New York winter we've been experiencing. I'll take any opportunity to trade concrete jungle for tropical jungle, and with the quick 90 minute flight from NYC, there's really no excuse not to go!
When it comes to tropical island fashion, I always envision espadrilles and panama hats, and so I put together a look with these in mind. Sensi Studio makes some of the best panama hats, which are finely hand crafted by artisans in Ecuador. I love brands that build close relationships with local artists to create their products. It's always more special to know that the items we wear have been made by hand, and with pride. I wore the panama hat in white by Sensi Studio, and it's perfect for a vacation getaway.
I paired the hat with a cute, striped romper by Zara and comfy espadrilles (also by Zara) with pretty lace up details. I love rompers when I travel because they're super cute but give me the comfort of shorts. Travel means a lot of walking and exploring, so I'm all about comfort and practicality when it comes to travel fashion! And it's not just my outfit that's suited for travel. I love carrying leather backpacks when I'm on the go. They fit so many of my travel necessities (e.g. DSLR camera, light jacket, etc.) while keeping me hands free. I got this backpack from a boutique in Seoul (also shown here) and often prefer it to crossbody or tote bags. Who says backpacks are only for school?!
If you haven't gone to Bermuda yet I definitely recommend you put it on your travel list. Also, keep an eye out for my Bermuda Travel Diary that will be coming up soon! Wishing you all a lovely week!
XOXO
